Remedyantispy is Quack Medicine for Your Computer

If you’ve ever been infected with Remedyantispy, you know that it’s not what it claims to be. It will try to make you think that it’s an antispyware program, when in fact; it’s a bundle of spyware! To make it worse, they will try to scam you out of your money. It may even cost you more than the asking price for this junk program.

Remedyantispy belongs to a category of malicious software called corrupt security tools. These programs go around, infecting computers, and pretend to be either an antivirus or antispyware program. They will charge an arm and a leg for their supposed full version, and may even steal all of your credit balance.

Remedyantispy hides out in corrupted websites. Usually, it will pretend to be a video codec that needs to be downloaded to watch a video. This “video codec” is really a Trojan Downloader program called Zlob. Once that hits your computer, the infection has begun.

Remedyantispy can also be transmitted through corrupt downloads. These are usually either at one of their many home pages, or at P2P file sharing sites. Again, you will be downloading Zlob, and it will handle the rest of the infection from there.

First, Remedyantispy will tell you that your computer is infected. You get a pop up telling you this, and it scans your temporary files, telling you that they’re infected. While they may contain sensitive information, they’re not infected.

Now that you really are infected, Remedyantispy will hijack your browser and send you to their sales page, if you weren’t there already. It will say that you have to buy their full version to clean up the infection.

Actually, you don’t have to buy it. There are many real antispyware programs out there. The best ones cost about half as much as Remedyantispy. One of them, SpyZooka, offers a 100% removal guarantee.

What if you buy Remedyantispy? Well, you just wasted a lot of money and opened yourself up to identity theft. After all, corrupt programs are used by corrupt people. You only get a program that scans your computer, and does nothing else. Except maybe a fully spent credit balance.

The sad part is that there’s a good chance they wouldn’t be brought to justice. The hackers that use programs like Remedyantispy will often operate out of countries that don’t abide by the same laws the United States does.

Unfortunately, articles won’t protect you from a Remedyantispy infection. They can only arm you with knowledge that can protect you from getting ripped off. The rest is up to your antispyware program.

I found that SpyZooka is the best of the best. It’s inexpensive, and they guarantee 100% spyware removal. No one else does that, nor can they do it. SpyZooka can because of their advanced Internet scanner that keeps them on top of spyware developments. Within minutes of a spyware release, you have the fix for it. You’re not 100% protected without them.
