NanoAntivirus Is a Spyware Threat
NanoAntivirus caught me unaware. When I found out what it was, it took me quite a lot of work to get rid of it. Here’s how it happened.
I was looking for a free movie on the Internet. After scrolling through so many pages that asked for membership costs, I finally found one that didn’t ask for money. That’s how I got NanoAntivirus, and found out that ultimately nothing’s free.
Basically, the web page I was on had little images of video players that you clicked on to watch a video. I found the movie I wanted to watch and clicked on it. It said that it was downloading a video codec that I needed to watch the video. As soon as that was done, NanoAntivirus popped up, and I was transported to scan.nanoantiviruscheck.com.
NanoAntivirus said that I had gotten a massive virus infection. My first question was whether or not I had installed anything like nano anti virus. I didn’t remember doing it, so I thought it was pretty strange that they would have anything to do with my computer.
My second question was how on earth my computer could still work after this kind of infection. If what NanoAntivirus says is correct, my computer should have crashed. I had a virus infection before, and it just had three viruses. From how bad my computer clunked with that, I didn’t figure my computer would even still run with hundreds of viruses.
When I saw the price tag for NanoAntivirus, my jaw hit the floor. I knew better than to think that they were the only ones who could kill the infection, so I turned down their offer. And I did it again. And again. I decided then that NanoAntivirus was probably the actual infection.
So, I killed my browser with Ctrl-Alt-Del because NanoAntivirus wouldn’t go away. I immediately ran my antivirus program, and it didn’t find anything. I started shopping around for a new antivirus program, and along the way, I found out what nano anti virus really was.
As it turns out, NanoAntivirus is a bundle of spyware called a rogue security tool. They come under many guises, such as antiviruses, antispywares, and general security tools. They all follow the same pattern as NanoAntivirus, and they’re all geared to rip you off.
So then I ran my antispyware program to get rid of NanoAntivirus. It found it, but couldn’t get rid of it. I found some manual removal instructions on the ‘Net, but those didn’t work, either. It looked like I was going to have to get a new antispyware program. Great.
Since I had to spend money, I decided to get my money’s worth. After about half an hour looking through the long list of the “best” programs, I saw one that had a 100% removal guarantee. It was called SpyZooka. With that kind of claim, I was sure to get rid of NanoAntivirus.
I was impressed with their page and the reviews. Better still was the price, so I went ahead and got it. When the scan was done, it was like five minutes and NanoAntivirus was gone. I love this program!
