Antivirus 2009 Rogue Anti-Spyware

If you are experiencing unexplained changes or pop ups in your desktop that you simply can not control then your system may be infected with Antivirus 2009. Antivirus 2009 is known as a rogue anti-spyware program and it is a clone of the rogue antivirus 2008. Like antivirus 2008, antivirus 2009 spreads and expands its contamination by using trojans such as Vundo or Zlob.

These trojans are sent out by Antivirus 2009 and they hide in pornographic and warez websites disguising themselves as video codec’s. Once these trojans enter your computers system they will ambush and bombard you with pop ups and false system notifications, informing you of a system infection. Your system could indeed be infected but regardless of whether your system is infected or not, the Antivirus 2009 will inform you that it is. It will misinform you for the purpose of convincing you that your computer is infected and that it needs an anti-spyware program to dispose of the threat.

These pop ups or notifications claim to take you to a valid security tool, but in actuality if you were to click on one of them it would try to make you purchase Antivirus 2009’s “licensed version” instead. Antivirus 2009 may even redirect your internet browser to one of many fraudulent websites that may be malicious and even capable of installing additional malwares onto your computer. Antivirus 2009 is fraudulent and should be treated as a scam.

Antivirus 2009 is hazardous software. It may try to change your computer’s desktop, it can hijack your internet browser, and it can monitor your internet browsing activities. But the worst part is that it can do all of this without your permission or knowledge of what’s going on. It is strongly recommend that you go the extra mile to completely eliminate every trace of Antivirus 2009 from your computer system.
